Happy Halloween

I have so many epic memories of Halloween growing up. Always spending the day/night with my cousins. I just couldn't resist and dressed Bubba in his costume practically all day! Just seeing his fat, chubby cheeks in his little hat made my day! Hopefully by the time my sisters start having babies ill be done/almost done, we will live a lot closer to each other and Bubba and my other future children can make some of the wonderful memories I have with my cousins. Until then ill leave you with some of my favorites of the day. You just can't beat his happy, smiling face!

Hope your Halloween was a happy one! Also a big congrats to my amazing cousin and his wife who sent the cutest announcement for their own little mini monster! Cannot wait to meet this special little spirit! Definitely loved already by many!

Typical Lazy Night

Ty now likes to constantly make this face #lookalittleconstipated
Just a quick grab down my shirt, not at all awkward

Tonight we decided to go out really I just didnt want to cook and celebrate the fact that Jake passed "A" week at work, and that my Dad and sister Gabby fly in tomorrow at 11:00 pm! After a delish dinner we took a quick trip to Nordstrom and got Bubba two ridiculously cute pairs of shoes. There is nothing better than little baby shoes!
Except maybe someone offering me an entire fabulous outfit for free... its a close toss up.

Ps a HUGE congrats to Jake, Geoff and Spencer for making it to the final round of their competition for best new business idea! Way to go!! Even if we don't come in first its a huge compliment to make it this far! But fingers crossed you do!

Kenzi in KC

Since Kenz was in town we decided to head into the city and visit the National World War 1 museum.  It was full of information, really clean and not too crowded which was nice! Instead of bringing our stroller in Jake opted to carry Ty throughout the museum which left Kenz and I free to wonder around and read all the plaques (Our dad would be so proud of us).  Here are some of my favorites/ most interesting pictures...I have no idea though why I didn't get a single picture with Mackenzie.

Ty is always smiling when he is outside!

This was the flag flying over the Capitol when congress voted to enter WW1
I think I will forever be a sucker for history...I blame BOTH my parents. And apologize now to all my future children because they will be stuck watching videos and visiting museums, oh well!

Kenzi in KC: Church Tour

It was so much fun having my sister Mackenzie in town! Ty loved having her here.  Everyone morning he would wake up and go to her and usually give her lots of kisses.  I definitely wish Utah and Kansas were closer to each other so we could all see Aunt Kenzi a little more.

Playing tour guide for a week was really fun, and forced us to get out and do a lot of the things we have been wanting to do.  One of the things Mackenzie wanted to see was the KC temple and Liberty Jail visitors center. We happily obliged her.

Lucky for us our visits from friends and family are just starting!

Time Line of Fun

I love this time of year because life starts moving a little faster and getting a whole lot sweeter!

Friday
- Jake came home from work and told me that he will be home for the next 3 weeks!  Which is the longest he has consecutively been home since we moved here.
 - My sister Mackenzie sent me a text saying she would be coming out for a visit next week...which really means tomorrow! We are so excited to see her! Ty and I have been planning all these fun places to take her to really show her Kansas City.  Best part is she is staying till Sunday!

Saturday and Sunday
-Since watching General Conference I think the church should somehow stream church on Sundays for parents with little kids. Best idea ever. I could put T down for a nap when he needed. He played with all the loud/squeaky toys he could ever want. And I got to hang out in my sweats all day.  Plus there is just something so incredibly powerful listening to the Prophet and General Authorities

After Kenz leave on Sunday, we have week alone.

Then my Dad and Gabby come the week before Halloween!! So so so excited about this one. There is something so fun about spending time with family!

Then the first week in November Leilani comes!! AHHH I just scream in excitement everytime I think about it. To prepare I have been recording all the reality shows that make you feel better about yourself.  Like Honey Boo Boo, Secret Princes and basically all shows on TLC.

Hopefully I will be able to get everything done I need to get done before Ty goes to sleep at 7.  Its impossible to clean when you have a baby exploring everything (like today when he pulled our entire shower rod and curtains off the wall as I was brushing my teeth).

Countdown Recap

Here is a quick recap of what we (as in T and me) have been up to since our Advent Calender started!

Day 1: Decorated the house for Halloween
Finally able to show off Jake's brother Josephs' amazing wedding present to us!

Day 2: Countdown Chain Till Papa and Gabby Come
This is probably my favorite decoration, I am so excited I cant wait!

Day 3: Bake Treats
I am excited for the day that T can actually help eat the treats I bake. Maybe then I will be able to fit into all my pants and not just half.

Day 4: Barns and Noble
This is on the list today and I am so excited! I love this store and I cant wait to go and buy a bunch of Halloween/Fall books! It makes it even more fun knowing how much T likes to look at the pictures and sit and listen to us read to him.

Hope everyone else is having a fabulous October!!

Pottery Barn Knock-Off

When I was at Pottery Barn Kids getting little T's costume I ran across their advent calender and fell in love (like everything in that fabulous store).  However that little baby was a little more than half my Halloween decoration budget. So I decided to save myself $60 bucks and make it myself.  After a quick trip to Hobby Lobby and Joanns and a measly $7.00 later I have myself a pretty close look alike, not to mention a little boy who loves pulling out little papers. We have ourselves a whole month full of fun activities (especially tomorrows!!)

Happy October First! I just love this month!
